Swedish Fish are a soft and chewy candy shaped like fish and other sea animals. Originally available only in the red fish shape, this popular candy now comes in an assortment of shapes and colors. Swedish Fish started out as a treat in Sweden, but are now a division of Cadbury and Kraft Foods that are sold all over the world. In 2009, confectionery products, such as Swedish Fish, accounted for 29 percent of Kraft Foods' sales. The serving size and nutritional information is the same for all varieties of this candy, but the ingredients do vary a bit.
Ingredients: sugar, invert sugar, corn syrup, modified corn starch, citric acid, white mineral oil, red dye 40 and carnauba wax. The Assorted Fish and the Aqualife varieties contain yellow dyes 5 and 6 and blue dye
